Heaven in Aldie---part 1

We so enjoyed getting better acquainted with our grandson!  It's only the 4th time we have been around him.
We went to the British Pantry and then to eat at Middleburg.

Conner would rather be in the toy box himself playing his harmonica!  The toys feel better on the floor, I'm sure.:)

But he surely knows how to be extremely quiet and content while watching the Chinese version of Cars!
Dustin speaks Mandarin to him all the time.  He learned it himself on his mission to Taiwan.

Heaven

Our grandson Sam's parents (Tiffani and Rick) were trying to teach him about Heavenly Father a while back.  They explained that He lived in Heaven and we wanted to live with Him again some day.  To emphasize the point, they asked him if he wanted to go to Heaven.  Enthusiastically yet in a matter-of-fact way, he replied, "Yeah, let's do it!"

I hope he keeps that determination!  Being with our family again in heaven is what we long for.  And being with them on earth is heaven!  We get to be with our two youngest children and their families tonight and tomorrow.  Yep, we've flown to heaven!

Time Flies

Don put the kissing version of this as a computer background on Valentine's Day.  My question is how did this....

turn into this???   And this one is 3 grandchildren shy...
I woke up the other day singing in my head:  "Time flies on wings of lightning; we cannot call it back. It comes then passes forward Along its onward track.  And if we are not mindful, the chance will fade away.  For life is quick in passing.  "Tis as a single day."  I had to hunt a bit to remember which hymn this belonged to cause it's the second verse.  But to me, looking at how fast time has passed from that young couple till now, that verse is a sermon to contemplate on this Sabbath. How can I use my time more effectively?  I would be glad to know that "God will love and bless you and help to you impart."  Hymn aside, I'm glad I have so many good memories on those "wings of lightning!"
